I completed an internship at a small zoo in Issaquah, WA while in college to see if I really wanted to be a zoo keeper. I started my internship in the bird department and absolutely I fell in love with the job. I spent nearly 3 years at Cougar Mountain Zoo before moving on to another facility. It was an amazing experience and I encourage anybody who has a passion for animals or education to consider volunteer or interning at your local zoo. It is a rewarding experience you won't soon forget!
